POLITICAL SUBDIVISIONS

Baras is divided into ten barangays, with Baragay Pinugay comprising two-thirds of the total land area. Eighty-eight percent of the households are concentrated in the built-up area or poblacion, which is located on the level area near the lakeshore. Each barangay has an urban and a rural component except for Barangay Pinugay, which is located entirely in the uplands, without a share of the urbanized lowland.
