total land area, is geologically composed of Shale and Limestone, which can be
found in the relatively mountainous and hilly northern portions of the
accounts for about 22% or 1,868.38 hectares of the total area. This geologic
character is mostly found in the relatively flatter low-lying areas of the
municipality in the southern lakeside parts and in the agricultural plains, as
well as in the valleys and plains of the Pinugay area. The remaining 15.5% or
about 1,316.36 hectares of the total area is geologically made up of Andesite
and Basalt found in the hilly middle left portions of the Municipality.
