Congratulations to the 𝐞𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐲-𝐭𝐡𝐫𝐞𝐞 (𝟖𝟑) 𝐋𝐨𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐆𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐬 (𝐋𝐆𝐔𝐬) 𝙞𝙣 𝙍𝙚𝙜𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙄𝙑-𝘼 𝘾𝘼𝙇𝘼𝘽𝘼𝙍𝙕𝙊𝙉 for successfully passing the 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱 𝗦𝗲𝗮𝗹 𝗼𝗳 𝗖𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗱-𝗙𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗹𝘆 𝗟𝗼𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗚𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 (𝗦𝗖𝗙𝗟𝗚), CY 2024 as the year under review, achieving an overall 𝟱𝟴.𝟰𝟱% 𝗽𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲 across the region!

This marks a significant 28% increase from last year’s 65 conferees, a clear sign of the region’s stronger commitment to child-responsive and inclusive local governance.

Through the 𝗖𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗱-𝗙𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗹𝘆 𝗟𝗼𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗚𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗔𝘂𝗱𝗶𝘁 (𝗖𝗙𝗟𝗚𝗔), all cities and municipalities are assessed annually using indicators on Survival, Development, Protection, Participation, and Governance.

Those who meet the standards are conferred with SCFLG, recognizing their dedication to promoting and protecting children’s rights.
